How to Update Aadhaar

• Online Update (Self-Service via UIDAI Website): Visit uidai.gov.in, login with Aadhaar &
OTP, update address/mobile/email, upload scanned documents, and download
acknowledgment slip.

• Offline Update (Aadhaar Enrollment/Update Centre): Visit nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra, fill
update form, submit original documents, complete biometric verification, and collect
acknowledgment slip.

Documents Required for Aadhaar Update

• Proof of Identity (POI): PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, etc.

• Proof of Address (POA): Electricity Bill, Water Bill, Bank Passbook, Ration Card, Rent
Agreement, etc.

• Proof of Date of Birth (DOB): Birth Certificate, SSLC/10th Certificate, Passport, etc.
Aadhaar Update Fee

• Online Update (Self-Service): Free (for selected fields like address).

• Offline Update (Aadhaar Centre): ■200 ,350 ETC… per update request.

Aadhaar Update Processing Time

Update requests are usually processed within 5 to 7 working days. You can check the status online
using your URN (Update Request Number). Once approved, you can download the updated
Aadhaar.
